Early 90s Electronic Duo

In the early 90s, two Japanese women living in New York City decided to make an electronic band that sings about food... Well, mostly. Eventually, they went on to write music about other topics.

Fun Facts - On one of their albums, Sean Lennon (John Lennon's son) from the band Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger is featured in the band's lineup. Also, one of the two founding members (Miho Hatori) is the voice and personality behind the character Noodle in the virtual band, Gorillaz.

Earlier, I mentioned that at first, they only sand about food. These tracks have titles like "White Pepper Ice Cream", "Sci fi Wasabi", "Artichoke", "Know Your Chicken", "Sugar Water", "Beef Jerky", "Birthday Cake", etc...

BONUS: So, I had to add this in here. The singer who is Noodle in the Gorillaz, also has a side project in which she sings beautiful jazzy lounge songs with bossa nova guitarist, Smokey Hormel.
